The NinevehGL Forum uses a new concept of "socialized forum" or as we like to say "Tweet Forum".

Here is the deal:
  1. No new registration is required. Just sign in with your Twitter account and authorize the NinevehGL Forum.
  2. Once you’re in, you'll be able to "Follow a Thread", that means every time that thread receive a new post or update you'll receive a mention on your twitter.
  3. Besides, you can enable "Auto Share", then every new post and/or thread you make will be tweeted on your timeline. (By default, auto-share is enabled only for your threads)

Forum Rules:

1. We understand human comunication can become "hot" sometimes. So some insults and bad words ARE allowed. Just don't push too much being an asshole all the time.

2. SPAMMERS are not allowed. There are penalties for this kind of user and they can be banned forever.

3. You can report other users, if you judge necessary. An user reported many times by many people can also be banned forever. However you can also receive penalties for report deliberately for no apparent reason.

If there is a similar thread title, make sure the other one doesn't already have the answer you're looking for.

This forum uses the BBCode (Bulletin Board Code), here are some instructions:

Italic: [i]text[/i]
Underline: [u]text[/u]

Code: [code]text[/code]

Dear all,

I'v a problems:

1- i need to disappear the dragon object just display the obj file so i commented this lines of code

_dragon.visible = YES;
// Moving the dragon into a circle above the mountain.
_dragon.x = cosf(angle * .02);
_dragon.z = sinf(angle * .02) - 1.0;
[_dragon lookAtPointX:0.0 toY:0.0 toZ:-1.0];
[_dragon rebaseWithMatrix:qMatrix.data scale:247.0f compatibility:NGLRebaseQualcommAR];
_dragon = [[NGLMesh alloc] initWithFile:@"Red Dragon.dae" settings:settings delegate:nil];
[_dragon release];

and edit this line:

_camera = [[NGLCamera alloc] initWithMeshes:_dragon, _mountain, nil];

to be:
_camera = [[NGLCamera alloc] initWithMeshes:_mountain, nil];

the problem now is no objects appears ... just display a strange red object

2- How can i center the object to display it in the center of marker?

3- How can i disappear the "NinevehGL Stats - Entire Application" label that display (Polys, Verts, FPS)

4- I need to start the application in "portrait" mode and let my user to rotate the iPhone as he/she likes ... i updates this code

- (BOOL) shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)toInterfaceOrientation
// Allows the application to start only in landscape right orientation
if (UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight == toInterfaceOrientation)
[_camera adjustAspectRatioAnimated:NO];
return YES;

return NO;

to be

- (BOOL) shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)toInterfaceOrientation
return YES;

but the camera is still in landscape mode

Thank you,

Hi man,

1 - I have no idea, this is a strange thing that happens with the Qualcomm sample, maybe something about the buffer conflicts, if you figure out how to solve that, let us know.

2 - Just import your object and don't move it. Let it on (0.0, 0.0, 0.0).

3 - Remove the line of NGLDebug.

4 - AR views should never be rotated at all, because they are just a camera image. If you want to rotate the interface, create a new UIViewController, place your custom view above all the 3D content and this view you can rotate, not the 3D view.

1 -

2 - If you're using "kNGLMeshCentralizeYes, kNGLMeshKeyCentralize," you don't need to do anything. However, if you're not, you must place the center of your object at the center of the world (0.0, 0.0, 0.0). To do that you must change the x, y and z properties of your object, placing it's center at 0.0, 0.0, 0.0.

3 -

4 - Create a custom view, place it above and allow it to rotate to portrait or any other orientation.
