  3. Besides, you can enable "Auto Share", then every new post and/or thread you make will be tweeted on your timeline. (By default, auto-share is enabled only for your threads)

Forum Rules:

1. We understand human comunication can become "hot" sometimes. So some insults and bad words ARE allowed. Just don't push too much being an asshole all the time.

2. SPAMMERS are not allowed. There are penalties for this kind of user and they can be banned forever.

3. You can report other users, if you judge necessary. An user reported many times by many people can also be banned forever. However you can also receive penalties for report deliberately for no apparent reason.

If there is a similar thread title, make sure the other one doesn't already have the answer you're looking for.

I have an object that has a pivot and rotates around a common center with another object. I also need to rotate one of these object about its own center while still maintaing the pivot. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.

Hello buddy,

Each NGLObject3D has the pivot property. You can change it as you wish.

However when you change the pivot the position and the rotation will be changed according to its pivot. So if the pivot is not at in the center of the object it will not rotate in its own center.

This is a completely normal behavior in 3D modeling softwares. If you want to have a different pivot and rotate the object in its center you must create some hierarchy using groups, NGLGroup3D.

Create a group, which is also a NGLObject3D, change its pivot and keep the internal object with its own pivot in the center. Now you can rotate the object in the center and also rotate it using the NGLGroup3D.

Take a look at the Lesson "Groups", inside the NinevehGL folder.

Can you create groups of groups?

I was attempting this last night, I didn't get any errors but did seem to see a strange memory error with textures messing up.

Yes, once the NGLGroup3D it self is also a kind of NGLObject3D.

Textures has nothing to do with groups.

Which error you did you see?

I think I had another memory problem in my app, however I am still having difficulties getting this to work. I realized my problem was trying to change the offset coords of the attacked objects after they'd been assigned to the group. Once I added them to the group first and then changed it, it seemed to work as I expected.

Thanks
