The NinevehGL Forum uses a new concept of "socialized forum" or as we like to say "Tweet Forum".

Here is the deal:
  1. No new registration is required. Just sign in with your Twitter account and authorize the NinevehGL Forum.
  2. Once you’re in, you'll be able to "Follow a Thread", that means every time that thread receive a new post or update you'll receive a mention on your twitter.
  3. Besides, you can enable "Auto Share", then every new post and/or thread you make will be tweeted on your timeline. (By default, auto-share is enabled only for your threads)

Forum Rules:

1. We understand human comunication can become "hot" sometimes. So some insults and bad words ARE allowed. Just don't push too much being an asshole all the time.

2. SPAMMERS are not allowed. There are penalties for this kind of user and they can be banned forever.

3. You can report other users, if you judge necessary. An user reported many times by many people can also be banned forever. However you can also receive penalties for report deliberately for no apparent reason.

If there is a similar thread title, make sure the other one doesn't already have the answer you're looking for.

Hello folks,

This is a fast guide to your first steps with NinevehGL. I'll show you more than talk.

So let's start:

1.Download the NinevehGL package in the download section here

2. Unzip and install the NinevehGL.pkg. It's very important to install it, otherwise the lessons and sample projects will not work. The NinevehGL.pkg will just install only two folders in your machine:

  • The Templates on "/Library/Developer/Xcode/Templates/Project Templates/NinevehGL"
  • The Documentation on "/Library/Developer/Shared/Documentation/DocSets"

3. After install the pkg, you'll be able to run any of the lessons or sample projects. Take a deep study in the NinevehGL folder and see the sample projects.

4. After the installation you'll see a new item in the Xcode menu when creating new projects. The NinevehGL template will create a 3D application based on some settings, like XIB/Storyboard/Pure Code, device target, etc.

5. Now, when you "option click" on a method or class you'll see the Xcode documentation ballon, which can be very useful if you're learning the NinevehGL syntax.

6. Here is the NinevehGL template running.

We understand you may want to skip some steps and run to implement NinevehGL by your own. But make sure you understand how the NinevehGL integrates on your project and iOS.

Remember that NinevehGL, in majority, occurs inside a UIView (NGLView), so you can place how many views you want and wherever you want.

This is a great guide, great framework but I do have a question... is this framework going to come out of Beta soon? Is there any chance at getting the source code so that I can fix bugs if I find any? Thanks... super cool framework, btw.

This is great tutorial.
I have an existing project and wanting to import ninevehgl.framework to that project but I cannot find the download link anywhere. Please share?

Thanks

I do see ninevehgl.framework inside a folder after having downloaded Nineveh Beta 0.9.3 for testing. However, I'm not quite sure if that's the official framework to include in my production code.

Thx

NinevehGL is a 3D engine built right on top of OpenGL ES and it uses all the programmable pipeline power, making it easy for you to create great application with shaders.
